Where Many Battles Were Fought

May 5th, 2012 by RJJNYC

Factory
The speaker stack nearest the DJ booth at Sound Factory, where vogue battles would be fought late on a Sunday morning. Side 2 of the Jan 5, 1992 tape on the main site is from one of those Sunday mornings around 11am, the Goddess of Light would mimic camera flashes as voguers struck freeze-frame poses to the stabs on Fast Eddie – Let’s Go and Ellis D – Dub Break.

Tracks & comments II

December 19th, 2010 by RJJNYC

mrmoreno1: I first heard this record the night David Morales had just finished recording it. he ran to the Sound Factory on a Saturday (ok, EARLY Sunday morning) very excited. He ran directly to the DJ? booth. Everyone wanted to know, “what does he have?”

A friend of mine, Mark Watson told me to prepare myself. He knew something fantastic would come. And then, Frankie played the Red Zone mix and mixed in the Classic mix!!

TOO MUCH!!

People were crying!!!

A night I will never forget.

Einfach Super!
